So I'm putting together Hero Force supplement numbah 2. It's coming along. I learned a bit from the first one and have some confidence I lacked before.

The fellows on the forum and I were kicking around the old question all super rp'ers get to eventually, powers or skills? Do you want to play Superman and get to do all the heavy lifting or Batman and get all the exposition?

Batman wouldn't be expected to defeat an opponent that could give Superman a tussle and Superman could wade through Batman's entire rogues gallery while checking his email.

In spite of this disparity in methods and powers DC has printed a lot of books teaming the two up. How do you reflect this in a game?

Superman attacks opponents in a physical manner, Batman in a mental manner. He'll psych them out, get them to reveal clues and weaknesses. Even a heavyweight villain is going to split rather than giver up his plan of attacj etc. I'll have to think more on this.

You could give the Batman-types gadgets powerful enough to take down a Superman-strength opponent?

Kind of like how Batman knows everyone's weaknesses, your Batman-types would have to know what gadgets to use, and when/how to use them?

Just a thought :)
